Mumbles Gardener's Question Time!

Bring your questions and ideas to our panel of expert gardeners as we recreate the famous radio 4 Gardener's Question Time in Mumbles!

On the 26th March, Mumbles Community Council will be hosting a new event inspired by the famous BBC Radio 4 show, Gardeners Question Time.

Our exciting line up of panellists includes:

  • Sue Kent who you may know from Gardener's World.
  • Teifion Davies, head gardener for our much loved Clyne Gardens.
  • Peter Robinson, retired head gardener for Penrice Estate, organic gardener and Chair of the Mumbles Gardening Club.
  • Louise Watkins, a local gardener and artist.

Alongside this expert panel, we have supporting members in the audience, ready to answer your questions about tending to your garden, what to plant when, or how to grow your own food.

We will be launching our new Mumbles Buzz in Bloom Gardening competition (an new spin on the previous Mumbles in Bloom contests) at this event. So if you are interested in entering your growing project or garden, this is the perfect opportunity to get some inspiration in preparation.

The following categories can enter this contest, so if this applies to you, join us at this event to start planning your gardens:

  • Best business garden.
  • Best ornamental garden.
  • Best wildlife garden.
  • Best school garden.
  • Best "grow your own food" garden.
  • Best community garden project.

All entries will be welcome, from window boxes to orchards. More information on this contest will be revealed at the event.
