This forms a part of our strategy to improve the health and wellbeing of the community and visitors to our beautiful part of the world. In conjunction with this, the Bike Hubs will play a part in reducing congestion, encourage greater connectivity along the frontage of Swansea bay and showcase strong brand name support for the thriving Village of Mumbles.
With the improvements announced to Swansea City Centre and the Events Arena, Mumbles will play a huge part in supporting the development of the Swansea City Deal and maintain its role as a community that will never rest on its laurels.
Santander Cycles Swansea will launch on 5 July at Swansea University’s Fulton House Refectory on the Singleton Park Campus.
From 5 July, 50 bikes will be available for the whole community and visitors to the city to use. The hubs will be situated at the following locations across Swansea Bay:
Swansea University’s Singleton Park Campus
The Fabian Way Park and Ride
The Civic Centre
The National Waterfront Museum
Swansea University’s Bay Campus
A sixth hub in Mumbles will follow shortly and is due to be in place later this Summer.
