Mumbles is the best place to live in Wales, according to a list by The Sunday Times

The Sunday Times publish an annual list of the best places to live in the UK and Mumbles has taken the top spot in the Welsh region for 2018.

The multi-million-pound Oyster Wharf development which has dramatically transformed the seafront and includes a selection of popular new restaurants was one of the many reasons cited.

The guide also named the opening of an M&S at the old British Legion, the rugby club being rebranded as Bar 1887 and plans to refurbish Mumbles Pier as reasons why it beat the competition.

The top 10 was as follows:

  1. Mumbles
  2. Abergavenny
  3. Abersoch
  4. Colwinston
  5. Laugharne
  6. Monmouth
  7. Penarth
  8. Presteigne
  9. Saundersfoot
  10. St Davids
