We see a report in the Evening Post, by Reporter Richard Youle that the development of new shops and restaurants on the Mumbles seafront will start in January 2015.
The Commercial Director of Nextcolour Developments Ltd. Mr James Morse, the company behind the scheme, says that this is fantastic news for Mumbles. The estimated to cost of this development is around £ 3 to £4 million.
The report goes on to say that City and Community Cllr. Anthony Colburn states that “he believed that the Mumbles community supported Oyster Wharf. The only concerns expressed were the loss of some parking on the seafront between the Tivoli and Boots, but it is hoped that it will be possible to arrange more parking at the quarry car park by making some small alterations.”
What does that really mean for the disabled drivers and passengers? It is a long way from the Quarry car park to the shops.
(comment by the Editor, Let us hope that some other solution can be found for disabled parking). Your comments please
