KEEP CAR KEYS SAFE

Evening Post Reporter, Jason Evans in an article on the 24th July 2015 reminds SURFERS not to give opportunist thieves the chance to steal their car keys.

He advises that during summer months thieves target people who leave car keys on the beach or “hidden” on their vehicle. He goes on to tell us that earlier in the week a surfer fell victim to this crime when thieves stole a Ford Fiesta from the Caswell Bay car park.

A Key Safe  scheme is being promoted at the Surfside Cafe and police teamed-up with Oystermouth Primary School pupils to design a poster. The winning design, by Year five pupil Samuel Phillips will be put on display at Caswell Bay car park to help drive home the message.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of the silver Fiesta. CV54 EDG or a Honda motorbike R456 EBE please contact the police in Swansea phone 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 (the motorbike was stolen from Western Lane, Mumbles on Tuesday evening, it was chained to a lamppost).
