Mumbles Community Council are organising a number of events over the next few months.
Wednesday April 20th,
2pm-4pm Ostreme Hall, Tea Party
with live music, provided by the Starlight Group, a quiz, a sing-a-long, so come-along and enjoy a cuppa, cakes and a chat. An opportunity to meet up with friends and enjoy a few convivial hours. This is a FREE event with limited tickets, available from the Clerk at the Council Office, Walters Crescent, in person or by phone, from Wednesday, 13th April. If demand for tickets exceeds supply, we will consider the provision of extra tickets.
Thursday April 21st at Oystermouth Castle. The lighting of a Beacon,
as part of the National Chain, to celebrate the 90th Birthday of HM Queen Elizabeth.
A Lone Piper will accompany the lighting of the Beacon. Time of lighting to be confirmed.
Saturday 7th May & Sunday 8th May at Underhill Park commencing at 10am the Alan Martin Tournament. Mumbles Community Council is supporting this established, prestigious event as part of its involvement with groups within the Mumbles Community Council area.
Saturday 14th May 12 noon – 6pm at Oystermouth Castle Field, Maytime in Mumbles, (Carnival in the Castle renamed). A family based PICNIC event, entry FREE. Bring your own picnic along or take your “pic” from street traders present. Music by Swansea Accordian Band.
Sunday June 12th, 11am – 5pm.
at Mumbles Cricket Club’s Ground,
off Plunch Lane, cricket coaching sessions in the morning, followed by cricket competition in afternoon. Come along and enjoy the day and the BBQ. Mumbles Community Council is involved as part of its commitment to local groups.
Saturday July 16th 12 noon to late afternoon, the return of It’s A Knockout, the event which was such a success last year. REGISTRATION from 31st MARCH
