A talk and demonstration by Janet Holmes will take place at Newton Village Hall on Tuesday 3rd November, 2pm-4pm. Janet will be demonstrating innovative creations using, in the main, chocolate and fruit. Tasters will be available and the demonstration creation will be raffled. Light refreshments will be available echoing the “chocolate theme.” Do come along and be inspired to, perhaps, attempt a similar creation of your own. Admission to this event arranged by Mumbles Community Council is FREE.

Mumbles Community Council is holding an Information Day on Tuesday, 20th October 11am to 3pm at the Hall of The Church of The Holy Cross, Fairwood Road, West Cross.

Amongst the agencies present will be Age Cymru; Care in The Home; Trading Standards; Care and Repair; Citizens Advice; N.H.S., to name just a few. Advice will also be available on energy saving and free driving refresher courses for the 65+.

Cllr Mary Colburn, who Is organising the event for Mumbles Community Council said: “We have had a great response from the agencies, who together will be providing a superb one stop shop.”

Cllr Colburn is keen that no-one misses out on the opportunity: ” If you know someone who might benefit from the day, please tell them about it”, she adds.
