The Evening Post, Weds 17th December reports that the City Cllr. Linda Tyler-Lloyd has succeeded in getting Swansea City Council to agree to install a path between Mumbles Road and the Promenade.
This , it is reported, this is to be paid for out of her allocated environmental fund (no figures of the cost have been given). The work should be completed before the newyear.
Let’s hope this is not waste of public monies and will assist the residents who live in the area.
An article by Geraint Thomas, the Evening Post Reporter, 9th December14 tells about the strange find by Mike Lawrence of Treboeth whilst strolling along Caswell beach with his metal detector.
The item was a gold wedding ring with the inscription of ELIBIETA on the inside of the ring, there is also a date inscribed but Mr Lawrence will not reveal that date. He hopes that someone who knows that date will come forward and claim the wedding ring.

It is reported in the Evening Post 9th December 14 that the Oystermouth Radio is still broadcasting from its base in Mumbles even though it is set to close on 31st December, because of the relocation of the Co-op store acrossthe road to the Tivoli building.
