PLANS to convert a former nursing home in Langland into holiday flats have been turned down.Swansea councillors voted against the two applications submitted by the owners of the former Clifflands Nursing Home, Langland Road, at a planning meeting.The proposal was for six holiday flats.The authority’s planning officers had earlier recommended the scheme for approval.

The University of the Third Age are very active in the Mumbles area and
throughout Swansea , organising classes and lots of activities.

 On the 2nd October there is an Open Day at the Dragon Hotel.

Mumbles Community Council has decided to provide a free minibus service for residents wishing to attend.
