An article in the Evening Post 2nd July 13 reports that Oystermouth Castle which has stood for over 800 years is in need of ‘volunteer’ guards to keep it safe from vandals. It quotes “Police in the seaside village have launched a “Castle Watch” scheme to encourage residents to keep an eye on Oystermouth Castle and its grounds.” If you wish to participate contact Mumbles PCSO Lucy Lewis. Mumbles takes its name from the headland and islands stretching into the west of Swansea Bay.
